Yeah the menu looked like a real Italian restaurant.

No shit. Everything in Italy is super expensive.

I’d never heard of the place before this thread.

Well, I’m going now with my wife and her sisters. I’m paying.

The little slash over the e is the wrong way round.

I blame Google

Andrew, could you get your better half to explain the pronunciation difference?

Well it’s comparable to the 2nd and the 4th tones in Mandarin.

Is there anything you don’t know?

Now, could you sort out my 2nd and 4th tones in Mandarin?

It’s more similar to the short 4th tone in Chinese.

The original is actually quite cool and historic if you care about such things. It’s the oldest physical coffee shop in the world at over 300 years old. And they’ve kept it the same with some obvious modern updates.

… they even look alike.

Idk why I didn’t go in when I was visiting Venice. Probably because there were too many ppl.

Interesting stuff, but seems correct though

I’ve been searching for pronunciation of Caffè on google and it won’t give me one.

Did you go in the summer?

It’s also insanely expensive. If you went alone, to sit and have a coffee would be around 30 euros give or take.

October. But the weather was perfect.

Venice in general is insanely expensive so I’m not surprised.

It’s more like a question.

You go? I thought it was good, but won’t quite be charging back there. Maybe for one of the fancy coffees
