Can anyone give me marketing advice for my new business?

So I’ve just started my patent consultancy business, and I have a website that’s all ready. Now I need to find clients to use it.

Can anyone give me any advice about how to do that?

Use lots of key words in the content and headers.
Link to other sites with high quality patent content .
Update the content regularly .
I know you registered website already but think about a website with patent consultant in the url.

Find people you can quote that were satisfied to work with you and mention it on the website.

So you mean write a blog?

I mean can I pay for some sort of advertising service ?

Yes add new content regularly , a blog is good.

You can buy google leads but prob better to optimize your site for SEO by following my suggestions above.
Beyond that you may join some industry associations and or meetups /conferences

Make an offer of a free consultation on your site with a simple form to fill in to capture their details.

Can i dm you my website and you can let me know what you think ?

sure

Am I correct that you will be offering services of patent drafting and office action replies? If so, then your clients might be local law firms, especially the smaller ones that don’t have the experienced staff to do these things in English by themselves. Anyway, I think this is something to keep in mind with the design of the website.

The reason why I say this is that companies filing patent applications usually find a law firm that offers some type of package (Chinese patent spec preparation, filing in Taiwan, English patent spec preparation, filing in China, and filing in the US), and so might not be looking for someone to do one step (albeit an important one) in such a package.

Yes, I’m also offering legal analysis and lecture courses on European patent law too.

There are a few entrepreneur groups on Facebook that might be worth joining.
