Can China invade Taiwan successfully?

Australia has threats from china too.

. . . they get a KMT president again?

Just spit balling here.

They all emphasize the likelihood of China being plunged into a “four-front operation,” suggesting the country would be surrounded by enemies on four sides. Another belief is also gaining disciples: Those who shout “Taiwan unification by force” are “stupid.”

A development of the CCP/Xi realizing they would screw over their population and economy and want to see if they can soften the blow of bringing that news to their people by allowing “the people” (a subset of wumaos, perhaps?) to push an alternate narrative?

Have they really changed anything though? I don’t think much time has passed by since last time they made some public statement, or since last time I read some CCP troll on a Taiwan news outlet.

It is possible the CCP is giving themselves some breathing room rather than staying in the corner they painted themselves into.

Many cities not just Darwin.

China has threatened to launch a military war against Australia?

You’re convinced china will leave Australia alone, when clearly they don’t think so.

Let me know when China starts attacking Australia.

So Australia must be wasting money trying to get nuclear subs?

but again… what has changed?

They’re just setting up the board. If China wants to waste money catching up to nuclear subs, go ahead. There’s little imminent threat in the near/mid term future.

Previously they would have censored, did you read the article ,

nope :innocent:

Taiwan needs to set up the board too. Currently all china can do to taiwan is launch missiles or drop bombs, we don’t want it any worse than this.

Hence all the weapon purchases.

Yes. Those subs won’t be armed with nuclear weapons and Australia does need submarines anyway. The USA does make good submarines. The last ones Australia built were rubbish.

Well now, that didn’t take long did it? Thanks Mr. Bolton for your assistance.

Looks like Mr. Bolton had a very successful book tour.

“On Monday (May 22), Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) confirmed there has been communication regarding whether the U.S. will include Taiwan under its nuclear umbrella.”

But blowing shit up is a whole bunch more fun. Plus has the added bonus of transferring billions more dollars to defense contractors. War is good for business. The MIC loves themselves a good war. Just ask Ukraine. Over 150 billion in bullion straight to their coffers.
