The baseballers have a chance, but is there a world-beating handball team I don’t know about?
Also, if Taiwan did win gold, what tune would they play when the flags go up the pole? And would the winner know the words?

Our friends across the Strait would tell you that Taiwan has already won ten golds and is basking in glory at the top of the medals table, looking down sneeringly on the US and other Western nations that are languishing so far below it.
Tae Kwon Do, Taiwan has (and I have forgotten her name) an outstanding former gold medal winner in women’s tae kwon do. And I presume she is competing again this year. I have not followed it closely as over the years I have gotten fed up with the sleaze in the Olympics although I realize in many symbolic ways the Olympics remains important.
