Can you sing your national anthem?

Although you may just be poking in jest, there is certainly no reason to change anything. The use of “God” in a song, or national anthem, should cause concern to no one. If it does, its their problem.

And, the United States of America has only 1 national anthem - The Star Spangled Banner. No others.

Personally I would prefer the song America the Beautiful as the anthem. Beautiful lyrics and a much much easier to sing melody. This change is brought up fairly regularly, but so far, no change.
Ah, yes, a hymn to socialism written by a lesbian…

Wonderful song!

I’ve always preferred Dixie.
I wish I was in Dixie!
Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I’ll take my stand
To live and die in Dixie
Away, away,
Away down south in Dixie!
And it also celebrates the North’s victory in the Civil War:

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

Can’t be worse than the Greatful Dead.

I’ll stand in for Tigerman.
I Want To Live In America

Have you ever been down south of Chinatown
Seen the face of a refugee
The kids are alive, they’ve learned to survive
They’re just like you and me
All their friends back home wonder what it’s like alone
Living in the land of the free
It’s another way of life, rev it up and take a ride
Realise your dreams

I’m telling you I want to live in America
I want to live in America
I like the song. I really don’t give a damn about her politics or sexual proclivities.
I just like the song and its easier to sing than the Star Spangled Banner.
