Polls are narrowing. Carney peaked too soon me thinks. That being said, agree with Teneycke and other pundits in that the Cons screwed the pooch on the narrative. Carney ain’t Trudeau. But he aloofness and dodgy Caribbean tax stuff…they need to go hard on that.

Good interview, but somehow I have missed the “National Democratic Party” (NDPish) they referenced.

I’m going to put this here as CanCon, but it would probably be better in a thread dealing with our diminishing personal privacy.

I have no idea who this woman is (she’s identified as a dual Canadian / US citizen), but this interview with her on TVO is one of the more interesting discussions I’ve seen on what’s going down with Canada - US relations.

So nice when a photo has its references/sources, dates and important information in the actual image. Had to mention, it’s about time! So many graphs and stats lack important info.

From here.

Carney is full of shit–taking credit for removing interprovincial trade barriers in the French debate. That file has been evolving for 2 decades under Trudeau and Harper. Western Canada led on that decades ago under Klein and Campbell. I know–I helped implement some of the Western arrangements. The Feds then and now—much less robust agreements. Cons should have retorted that he’s taking credit for others’ work.

Carney rebutted by saying that in his short time as prime minister he had reached an agreement with the premiers to start lifting interprovincial trade barriers.
