So got to tried out my new card at Shin Kong Hospital today.
Check-in failed using the new card. Luckily I still had the old card so was able to check-in.
The doctor said my medical record did get transferred so that was a relief. The nurse said I need to inform the cashier about the card change. So I guess I would need to carry both cards to my other destinations untill they are all updated.

No. You can probably go to registration and get your info updated. Just one more additional step per new visit.
So went to get my booster shot. Got the shot but had to use the old card. Strange I was able to use the new card to register.
I just got sent a new card after several years using the old one. Be interesting to see which one works.
