Captive had at least 6 children by her father

What a monster her dad is.

Just imagine never seeing the sun in 19 years or the world outside of a cellar? Its unimaginable this tragic story.

Geez, he could of taken the whole family to that church in Texas and lived a sound religious life!

Somehow I was thinking along those lines too. But the Austrians would have to learn the Texan Drawl

In the Germanic speaking world, the Austrians have quite the opposite. Terminator sounds faggy to Germans when he speaks his native tongue. They actually dub his voice with a stronger sounding German voice in his films.

That has got to be the sickest thing I’ve read in my entire life.

The German media are full of this case, and the details emerging are shocking to say the least. Here is an update on CNN.

And they say he could face up to 15 years in prison. Maybe more if he’s held responsible for the death of one of the children.

That’s all? Surely you jest. There are degrees of monstrosity for which nothing but life in prison without parole is suitable. This is clearly such a case.

Wow. Just wow. I cannot at this moment think of a punishment to fit this crime, especially given the age of the perp. My view of humanity moves to a new all-time low, which takes some doing.

This just in:

Fritzl’s “perspective”

That in itself, is already an admission of knowing the difference between right and wrong, of premeditation, and lucidity. Therefore, an insanity plea should be thrown out.
Still, while admitting a lifetime of unfathomable abuse, Fritzl also painted a picture of depraved domesticity.

“When I went into the bunker, I brought flowers for my daughter, and books and stuffed animals for the children,” he said. They watched adventure movies while the daughter, Elisabeth, cooked their favorite meals. “And then we all sat around the table and ate together,” he said.
How it all started…
But as Elisabeth grew into a teenager, Fritzl said, he became alarmed when she began smoking, drinking and staying out all night. “I tried to get her out of that swamp,” he said, by arranging work for her as a waitress. He also began digging the underground bunker that became her prison in 1984, when Fritzl drugged her and dragged her downstairs.

“I had to create a place in which I could keep Elisabeth away from the outside world, by force if I had to,” he said.
So, to protect his daughter from the “evil outside world”, he exposed her to his evil instead. wow.

And who knows what else his sex drive led him to do in Austria and Thailand, etc.

Great, blame the nazis… and the mother.

trying really hard to hide behind an insanity plea. and he’s complaining over how the media are portraying him as a monster.

skin him alive and roll him in salt, i say.

I vote life in prison without parole

prison in an underground place with no sunshine at all. just like he subjected his prisoners too. And where he can be constantly raped by other male prisoners

That sounds more like it.

speaking of sick %$*#@# who do sick things to their children,
The indictment says Barkau began training the girl in 2000 when she was 12, and forced her to engage in sex acts with him and with other men. According to the indictment, he also had the girl watch pornography on the Internet as a teaching tool.

Barkau is accused of creating a business out of the couple’s Missouri home when the girl was 14 and marketing her as a 19-to-20-year-old dominatrix on the Internet for about two years.

The mother is charged with encouraging and participating in the venture, the indictment says.
The child is now 20 yo.
