How can you check your cars status with regards to paying the yearly tax? (fuel tax and licence plate tax)
I just paid mine. Since the car is registered at my address, I received a bill. I suggest going to the DMV to check.
I went twice before, they kept saying I will get the bill in the mail sometime in April and couldn’t tell me the date when I need to pay it.
When did yours arrive?
Also, was there an increase in the amount?
For interest sake, what happens if you don’t pay it or pay it late?
Mine arrived a few weeks ago. I’ve got a 6 cylinder so my tax as $7120. You should have gotten yours so I would check your address on your registration card. If it matches your current address then you should have received it unless they are mailing them out in batches. My bill says from April 1st through April 30th. I think some folks don’t pay at one time but I’m not sure about how to go about this. On the bill, I see a chart about the interest rates starting May 3rd. So I think it is time and that you need to back and keep asking until you find the person who will help you. They can look it up for sure.
Its due date is April 30, but till May 2, there is no penalty. After that, you should pay extra penalty for each overdue day. After 30 days, your plate will become invalid.

If you lost or didn’t receive the tax bill, you need to apply to get it reissued. Or you can call to get your bill number, taxed amount etc, then you may be able to pay it at ibon.

Thanks a lot, I can get someone to help me with the Chinese.
I did move to a new apartment, but I went to the DMV to update my address in February already.
My eTag now gets mailed to my new address, and I kept asking them to tell me when it is due and they kept saying they will mail it to me, but guess what…no mail.
So now I have to go back again to try sort this out.
I think simply saying you lost it would be better than you haven’t received it.
So this is what it says

Due date of Licence plate tax is April 30. It seems you can pay it here, though you need to know the tax amount etc. to use the site.
