There was another less fortunate gecko inside a couple days later. It was much smaller. It used the broken tail trick and successfully gotten the attention of one of my cats. Sadly, I have two cats, and the second one kept going after the stump tail. I was able to get it to the patio before my cats went for other parts of its body. Don’t know if it managed to survive…
