I think I know where my newly adopted cat came from… a giant hairball came up to the previous owner and it started coughing and heaving, and a cat came out.

I am starting to believe your kitty really needs deworming…

He was already on deworming medication when I got it

If you are brushing him regularly, hairballs shouldn’t be big. Do not give those petroleum based creams they sell at pet stores. Actual veggies, even cat grass you can buy at pet stores are healthier, more effective.

My cat has no issue with hairballs so far. In fact he hardly sheds at this point. Maybe as he gets older he’ll shed more…

Love kitten hair, all soft and fluffy.

One of mine, the baby of the house, I found him covered in motor oil. After I removed the oil with cooking oil, his hair fell, so I started applying coconut oil to his skin so it would heal. Nowadays he has this heavy coat, so soft and shiny, thanks to the coconut oil.

How did the cat get covered in motor oil?

Well, in winter, they tend to get into warm places like car engines. That is very dangerous and they get burns too. Or get killed. But the vet thinks he was smeared on purpose. People are very cruel to strays, who already suffer a lot out on the streets.

It’s unbelievable anyone in Taiwan would do mean things to cats. I mean this country loves cats, they are on everything. Heck, the president has a few cats.

It’s actually totally believable. Unfortunately, there are some sick fucks out there who get off on torturing defenseless animals, especially cats and dogs.

Sigh, if it was so. But the animal associations find horrible cases every week, please be careful not to let your cat wander about. Too many cruel, bad people out there.

This one may mess up milker’s emotions

Definitely a dark side of humanity. Saw a documentary not long ago about how Facebook outsources its monitoring of newly uploaded videos in order to decide which to remove. According to the documentary, they have to remove videos of cat/dog/animal torture on a massive scale. The documentary was about how the employees of these outsource firms suffer from watching the videos. FB outsources this work to multiple firms, and all of them struggle to keep employees because of animal torture videos.

I have always known that there are sick fucks out there, but evidently it’s much more prevalent than anybody knew.

Wow, they not only have the need to torture animals, but also to share their handiwork online. This actually sounds like a good early warning system for potential serial killers. :hushed:
