CCP and KMT love fest! From when, why and how?

Another common factor the KMT and CCP share which allows them to have a continued dialogue today, is the 1992 consensus. By agreeing to disagree on “China” they allow themselve opportunity to at least have future discussions on the topic of the Strait Issue.

However, most pan-Green parties to some degree or another refuse to acknowledge the existance of the 1992 consensus and the existance of the “Republic of China.”

The KMT and CCP once took a temporary hiatus in killing each other to fight the Japanese invading China. If the pan-Green supporters and their leadership don’t change their tune in the near future, I don’t see what would prevent another temporary alliance between the two to fight the “Taiwan Independence” group invading the “One China” paradigm.

Sure the KMT and CCP would continue to bicker after defeating the “Taiwan Independence” group…but that’s nothing new.

Actually, they took a temporary hiatus in order to consolidate their power and try and get someone else to fight the Japanese…finally settling (by default) on the US. Dogs under the table fighting for the bones.

Yes and we see the pan-Greens are now also interested in trying to get the USA and/or Japan to liberate them again. Old dogs trying to learn new tricks isn’t really getting them anywhere at this time.

If only Truman only listened to Patton and nuked the PRC, or allowed CKS to invade the PRC from the south during the Korean war, this would have nevered of happened.

Surely, you mean Douglas MacArthur? Patton died on December 25, 1945.

Now that I think about it could have been Macarthy and the red scare…

Its a Gaelic Clann conspiracy you know. :astonished:
