Certified check or money order?

I thought I finally got one today and when I opened the envelope, woot. It was a Traveller’s check.
NOOOOOOOOOOO.
I need a certified check or money order for USD… where can I go. And can someone type that out in Chinese so I can actually get it?

I got one a while ago from China Trust Bank. I had to take a Taiwanese friend along with me, and then spend 10 minutes explaining that no, I don’t want a travellers check, but managed to get a money order in USD in the end. Can’t help you with the Chinese though.

You might want to check out Western Union. Many Cathay banks in Taipei have Western Union services. Check Western Union Taiwan.

This website doesn’t say anything about money orders. Just wiring funds, which you can do at any bank.
