It’s not that uncommon a view on the left. Imagine trying to shoehorn the belief that only whites can be racist into the definiton of racism as “discrimination based on skin color.” Even harder than trying to shoehorn the belief that it’s racist to wonder if an airline has cut corners in minority hiring into that definition.
The twin themes “only whites can be racist” and “all whites are racist” appeared at the University of Delaware in 2007. The “sustainability” dorm-based indoctrination program at UD offered this aperҫu:

Sure, and this subset of the Left is much smaller than what it is being purported to be.
Can anyone find a politician saying that non-white people can’t be racist? Nope, I don’t think so.
Whereas on the Right, bigoted and extremist rhetoric is found prolifically, from the thought leaders, to the politicians, to the president.
Obama and Biden surely never said that only white people could be racist. I don’t see anyone on the Left saying this, especially lately, except the extreme edge of the spectrum (cucked as usual).
I don’t know if any of you noticed, but the Left is much more focused on the open class warfare going on right now, as they should be.
Can we guess which part of the Left Fox News and their associates focus on almost exclusively, when caricaturizing them to their base?

They are going back to their most successful approach - focusing on class issues. Trump and his goons make it easy to do this, as they are committing blatant class war against just about everyone not already Scrooge McDucking it into their money piles.

Well that’s nice. Easier to do when you aren’t American and/or not heavily impacted by the thug in chief’s behavior. Enviable, really.
But yeah, that also explains why you might have missed the shift in a better direction from the Left regarding their focus. Definitely not ideal still, but they are a hell of a lot better to support over Trumpers, who just continue to spread their cheeks for their increasingly fascist god king and his band of sycophantic oligarchs.
No the racist part is where you use those concerns to justify judging someone based on their race. It’s really very simple.
