Original Title: Show me the speed
I was given this link to check my ADSL Speed… I max at 2.557 mbps Anybody else want to try?
I maxed out at 843.92 Kbps. I think thats really bad, but I don’t pay for the service so I cant complain.
82.527 Mbps which is bad especially since i pay allot for this line.
1.357 Mbps

But the third time I tried it was
1.696 Mbps
(217.08 KBps)
NOW I am at home
854.4 Kbps

And here I am paying for it
Grrrrr.
I got 62 MPS, but I subscribed with a 512 Mps modem, are they screwing me? :fume:

I tried this ogrady.blogspot.com/2005/01/spee … ofill.html with my firefox browser and it appears to be faster, but I did reduce some of the values a little.
1st try: 1.807 Mbps
2nd try: 2.097 Mbps
3rd: 2.098 Mbps
2M/256K ADSL from So-Net. I had only MSN Messenger active at the time.
For those who are testing, please verify that you don’t have a downloading program active else it’ll really fug your results.

…on a 2Mbps cable 
It doesn’t work so well and certainly doesn’t work on Safari for Mac. When using Firefox I got a 1.523 Mbps result.
I am around 1.5 MBPS, which is good enopugh for me.
I tried a few times and go between 62 to 75 Mps. Works with Safari for me.
I got 82634.34762kbps because Ah Am The Greatest!

My speed on Taiwan only is always faster.

I doubt that’s 2MB. You’re probably paying for 2Mbps → that’s 2 megabits, not megabytes, so your 1.5-1.6Mbps figures are very reasonable.
It seems that many people mix bits with bytes - well, they’re not the same thing. 
… and it seems somebody even mixed up kilo with mega… or something

Yeah those are about right at 1.5-1.6.
Just check to see if you got too many apps that might access the net. It slows down speed test results.

I guess it got faster with the cache’ing with each refresh.
