I just figured out that someone told the water company to send their bills to my house. The house that is using the water is in Tao-Yuan…and I live in Chung-Li. But they used my mailing addresse for their bills. So I have unknowingly paid someone else’s water bills a few times before catching on. I have their addresse…time to go introduce myself.
I asked my landlord, by the way. He’s never heard of them…and says he has no idea who they are.
I suggest you just don’t pay them any more. Water bills aren’t much, and you know they’re going to get cut off eventually, which will be fun.
Always double check the address on bills. I frequently end up with my neighbor’s bill in my box. Not that I’m accusing them :s or anything. Could easily be the mailperson’s fault. Except for how often it happens…
i agree with hexuan - just because it ain’t a lot of money. getting your <$1000 NT back, or knowing that one day, they will be high and dry … i’d take the latter.
send them a note in about 6 months asking them about water supply (it takes awhile before they’ll shut it off here - at least 2 months after non-payment).
