Thank you , that’s a relief. Right now actually her father feels better to me than her mother, so I am hoping we can work out a solution. Do I have to worry about registration and ‘entering’ family’s registration? My gf can’t object against her parents, even when they are wrong and we are right, and I worry that my son will be regarded as their “son/grandson” with me having 0 rights and there are legal maneuvers being done that will put them higher in legal custody for the kid??
If a Taiwanese woman has a child out of wedlock with a Taiwanese man, is he not able to put his name in the child’s documents?
Mother can register her child by herself. Taiwanese father can claim his paternity with a proof by a paternity test. Foreign father, I’m not sure yet.

It’s easy in common law jurisdictions, not so easy in Taiwan.
