Childcare pay advice

That sounds like a babysitting job more than a tutoring job if it’s more homework help/reading with them. That’s what I did as a babysitter in high school/college. Families with money (ER doctors and lawyers) would pay me ~US$20/hr (that was in the US, ~2006-2012), and that was considered quite a good amount. The thing about childcare is that it is a lot of work and responsibility but people seem to think they shouldn’t pay more than minimum wage. You’re asking someone to keep your child safe and make sure they are doing the work assigned by their school. That’s not a small ask.
