That missile is hard to defend against. Such a short period of time to intercept it and it can carry a nuclear pay load , which they would never use unless Taiwan successfully broke one of their dams or something like that. Still they could drop those on Guam with conventional war heads. Better start working on Ronald Reagan’s dream again.

Pretty much same sentiment for me. Had a blast. Some weird sometimes infuriating stuff happened but thats what made it memorable. Hotels I went to in 2019 were really exceptionally good value - booking.c o m reviews ftw lets you know what your getting before paying up.

Attacking civilian targets? Thats idiotic you are talking the end of the world. Japan getting involved? Russia would likely step in with its vast nuclear arsenal thats not a good concept - they are more than ready and willing to take Japan down - hell they are still at war technically.
You cant simply “obliterate” a city like Shanghai of 20 million people and not expect reciprocal destruction of New York City and more - you are living in fantasy land.

If China wants war then it wants war. There is nothing we can do to stop that except better alliances, better equipment and more vigilance.
Hell no, not a chance they wont hit Okinawa unless those bases are used to attack them. In that case indeed things will get very messy very quickly. Its really hard to see a good outcome to be honest - for anyone.
Agreed fully - vigilance and deterrence is the key. Strategic ambiguity has worked so far.

A lot of people are under the wrong impression that the states can come in and steamroll China as easy as they did Iraq or Afghanistan in their own backyard without China retaliating at all. China wouldn’t attack USA bases unless it was obvious they were preparing to deploy.

Guys you are talking conventional weaponry but China is not going to fight that way.
They have the small “fishing” vessels to infiltrate. A lot of them have been seen “fishing” in certain practice areas. What defense does Taiwan have against thousands of “civilian” vessels? Shooting them would be a scandal…
They have their people in key military positions, where they can throw a wrench in defense/keep Beijing appraised.
They have the gangs of useful idiots, both politicians and gangsters, that will cause chaos.
And the worst part is that this is not Taiwan only, the situation is the same. Worse in the West as with all the Overseas Chinese, the Chinese agents will stir trouble, tearing up communities from inside and seeding civil chaos, which undermines the will and determination to fight the CPC.
And China is not beyond bombing Taiwan with nuclear weapons, especially if they think they might lose.
