China spy machine floats over the US (and Canada)

But, you didn’t because you wanted to keep making that cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching, right? Same as all the other well meaning capitalists who thought they’d be at the right place, at the right time to cash in on being prescient.

USA military government universities corporations have Chinese spies. China is testing USA, it’s people, it’s leaders in various ways. It’s like a hacker sending a first attack to judge defenses or to distract. Americans are naive. China doesn’t care about the balloon

How’d that work out for the Japanese in 1945?

Yet similar balloons flew over during Trump’s presidency and none were shot down.

Maybe it was a message: don’t turn over YOUr Hunter Biden sex tapes?

Open borders, open skies . . . . It’s like nobody’s in charge in America anymore.

Plausible deniability. Russians knew it was a spy plane, US knew the Russians knew, and Russians knew the US knew they knew. Powers was expected to take cyanide pulls he was issued. I’m not sure the US was “humiliated” over this - they weren’t the ones getting routinely overflown.

The US saw this thing coming. How much sensitive info do you think they collected?

high compared to a balloon, but hardly a high speed plane.

Nothing a civilian can have legally is able to shoot down a balloon at 60,000 feet. Even if they manage to hit it it would just make little holes, and then projectile comes back down and kills someone.

I know, that’s not what I was referring to. Never mind…

Aren’t we just finding out about that like right now?

Was that known before?

“It never happened with us under the Trump administration, and if it did, we would have shot it down immediately,” Trump said. “It’s disinformation.”

Were they though? Or is that just the MSM making up stuff to try and cover for how Biden handled the Chinese spy balloon?

Honestly it still seems very off to me to fly a spy balloon over the USA intentionally. In the case where it is confirmed to have spy equipment that just gets an already sanctioned China even more sanctioned while their economy is in trouble currently. I just don’t see the value proposition.

The only thing I can think is that it was weather equipment and testing to see how the USA would respond to it. Or else as simple as a balloon went off course and they just didn’t have the face to own up to it.

I do find it funny that they are all up in arms over it getting shot down. If anyone tried to fly a balloon over China it would be shot down over the ocean, no way it is allowed to fly over Beijing.

One balloon maybe, there’s a second one over South America and now reports of a Third one.

“Literally every regular person I know is talking about how to shoot down the Chinese Spy Balloon. It would be great if an average Joe shot it down because China Joe won’t. Regular Americans can do everything better than the government and actually care about our country.”

Go and get them GI Jane, get out your rifles

Oh, there’s an unbiased source. Does this guy realize that his statement about everyone remembering if it had happened not apply if it was covered up or not reported on in the first place?

It made me wonder whether China had been reading up on this guy:

What a name! Dick Tuck! Sounds like the title of a trans porno.
