Yup, this is nothing new. Not just for their own use, but they can control south of the Himalayas by turning off the taps. Chinese dams already cause problems all over SE Asia, and they can hurt India, too.

On Thursday evening, July 2, 2026, a Tibetan man who worked as an Uber driver — identified by community sources as Lobga Rangzen, and who had lived in the US for about two decades — self-immolated outside the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan in protest of the Chinese occupation of Tibet and newly imposed restrictions. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
