My wrist had been bothering me for years, but it’s only when I push on something hard…so I ignored it. Then one day my girlfriend took me to a Chinese Medicine hospital.
I went every few days and they’d massage, use needles, electricity…etc. And my wrist actually got worse. I told the doctor that my wrist was hurting more and more…and he responded with “impossible” and I realized he was an idiot. I stopped immobilizing my wrist like they told me to and it improved back to the point where it was before I started seeing them.
Then one day I was near a “Kung-Fu Master doctor” that I’m friends with…and visited him. And I as I was leaving his home I remembered my wrist…which I mentioned to him. He massaged my wrist and near my elbow…which almost made me pass out due to the excruciating pain…and then he yanked my arm and said “Problem fixed”.
And it was, 100% better. I asked if I needed to come back for a follow up…and he responded with “Why would you? It’s fixed.” Cocky bastard.
He also cured my friends cyanic (sp?) nerve which caused him a lot of back and leg pain.
So moral of the story is…Chinese medicine kicks ass, BUT I’d estimate only 1 in 20 certified Chinese Doctors have a clue what they are doing…and the rest are just trying to make a buck or two at a profession they found out too late in life they have no aptitude for.
I asked him if he wanted me to send more business his way…and he declined. Saying that he can only treat 3-5 people in a day. Or it would lower his Chi. So don’t bother asking me to post his location in this thread. But if someone like DragonBones or MJB want to know then feel free to PM me.
Another interesting sidenote is the reason he choose to study Chinese Medicine. He was in a car crash…and the hospital told him he was crippled for life. His family then took him to a Chinese Master who then cured him…100%.
When I first arrived in Taiwan I had an old shoulder injury that western doctors insisted could only be fixed by surgery, and even then I would probably have to get surgery years later. So I decided not to get the surgery.
When I arrived in Taiwan, the first thing my ex’s family did was take me to a Chinese Doctor, another guy who sounds very similar to the one you mentioned out by the Academia Seneca. He didn’t even have an office, it was in his house and supposedly this guy was one of the Tai Chi masters as well. Any back to the point, after about 10 visits of terrible pain, pulling, yanking, standing, and everything else imaginable my shoulder has not hurt one time in five years and this is the same shoulder that hurt me everyday for 10 years.
Really boosted my belief in certain aspects of Chinese medicine.
Yes, all well and good and very happy for you. But my experience in Taiwan with Chinese Dr.s was that everyone knew a master–and they were all just smelly quacks.
I had great experiences with Chinese Dr.s in S. Korea, but rather ironically, Taiwan really dissapointed in this area.
Not sure if this guy was an actually master or not, nor do I care but he did something many orthopedic surgeons in the states said they could not do, without cutting me open. So he is a master of something, my shoulder at least.
Doc didn’t warn me of this, but it was so wonderful to get my right-handed girlfriend’s full use back in full swing. While I have been gifted with an ambidextrous ability in most actions, my right-handed girl does the job much better.

A couple of people have PM’d me about meeting him. I’m taking one person and the other I ignored. He’s a good guy who cures people and he asked me not to advertise for him. I just made this thread to let people know that some Chinese doctors truly can work miracles.
And a side note. I went there the other day and some woman brought her teen daughters there. And I could her the girl yelling in an angry tone “That hurts!!!” I wanted to yell back “It’s supposed to hurt. Now stop whining like a little bitch!”. He almost made me black out when he fixed my wrist…and my friend said he’s never felt pain like that in his life…when he fixed my friends leg. But it works.
Had he accumulated 1000 Ninja Magic Points? You have to be careful about fake Chinese Medicine Kung Fu Ninja Master Doctor certificates, especially in Taiwan. Once I saw a certificate, it looked authentic and everything, but under Ninja Magic Points, I could tell that he’d drawn in the last zero. In reality he only had 100 NMPs! What a quack.
Yet another example of pure quackery. A true CMKFNMD could treat at least, at least 7 people in one day without losing any Chi hit points. Of course, it’s understandable that even a grandmaster might lose one or two Chi hit points if he treated 11 people in a day, but he’d gain that right back by eating endangered bear claws (raw preferably, or ground up and mixed into Ninja Magic Tea).
