Chinese Input on Android?

Wondering what you guys are using for Chinese input on your Android phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Currently using Google IME, which is okay. I preferred the HTC keyboard (was using Incredible S, but unfortunately lost that phone ), but can’t seem to find anything similar. Any suggestions?

BTW I just use pinyin.

I have an HTC Desire S and use the HTC keyboard for handwriting and Google IME for pinyin.
It’s kinda annoying that you can’t select the pinyin with the same button as the other keyboards though. But since I mostly use handwriting input it’s not that big of a deal…

I’ve used TouchPal on several phones (with the handwriting plugin). It’s served me well but seems to randomly turn off traditional chinese input. I have no idea why (easy enough to turn back on though).

Yeah, I really like the HTC keyboard. I found a way to add it in on my phone, but it doesn’t offer pinyin input…sigh.

Will check out TouchPal.

TouchPal is pretty good.I installed it on my wife’s phone and she really likes the handwriting function. It does switch to simplified without warning. One of her friend answered her text asking if she’s ā€œdefected.ā€

Seriously, though, I noticed when I followed the installation instructions Android popped up a warning that installing an app with the permission requirements it needs can be a security problem. Has anyone checked out the company behind TouchPal?

Anyways just like to share that I found a way to install HTC CIME on non-HTC phones - http://blog.yam.com/leo2016/article/36727236

Pretty straight forward:

  1. Download the respective version for your screen resolution: WVGA (480 x 800) OR HVGA (480 x 320)
  2. Extract the zifiles.zip to the root directory of your internal memory if possible, otherwise SD card. It will create a ā€œ.zizdā€ directory
  3. Run the APK, and enable the keyboard!

I love the HTC English keyboard - easy access to the commonly used punctuation marks.
