Chinese-style Gardens

One of the disappointing things for me in Taiwan is the quality of parks and gardens. I know there isn’t much space but that’s all the more reason to make better use of it. In general, parks and gardens here are poorly laid out, the plants in poor condition, and the “gardeners” know very little about what they are planting. In some cases, they even plant noxious weeds.

Anyway, enough grumbling. Apart from Taipei Botanical Gardens, is there anywhere worth visiting?

Da-an park is nice and big. The park around the National Palace Museum is very nice and quite small (I think the entrance cost 10NTD).
