Anyone have any recommendations for place that do a nice Christmas dinner? I usually go to Brass Monkey’s one, but if anyone has any other suggestions, that I can try.
Perhaps a home delivery meal set from a fancy place/ hotel?
Anyone have a recommendation for those as an alternative?
Cook for yourself.
Nah, I want it to be nice.
Is Brass Monkey’s one any good?
I’ve never really bothered with any of the Christmas-dinners-for-expats “deals” in any of the places in Asia I’ve lived (on account of being a bit too humbug-y to much care about Christmas, and a lot too stingy to pay through the nose for it).
It’s nice enough but you don’t get big enough portions. When I have a Christmas dinner I want to have to be rolled out the door afterwards.
It’s why I’m looking to try something new.
Western Hotels will have an ongoing specials and event.
Auntie Nia’s usually has special meals and event.
Thanks,
I’ll check it out.
This is good advice. The W Hotel might be worth a look. Get ready to spend $$$ though.
We got a take-out turkey with all the sides before at Jake’s Country Kitchen. We were very happy with the meal. They seem to also have dine-in options for turkey meals. But I have no idea about the ambiance, etc. since I never actually sat down to eat there.
That did sound a good choice–but according to Google maps it is permanently closed, unfortunately.
That’s too bad. I think they started long ago and probably decided to call it quits after the May outbreak.
