ChungHwa Telecom number stopped working abroad.

No idea if there’s any connection here or not but last month my wife received a couple of strange texts from CHT saying the ID’s used to obtain the SIM card did not match information on file with the dept of immigration and if she didn’t bring her relevant ID’s to CHT for verification the service would be cut off. I had used my ARC to apply for the SIM many years ago, later I received a new passport and subsequently updated my ARC with the new passport number. This was apparently where the mismatch was although it’s been like that for a few years without issue and I even received a replacement SIM last year using the new ARC which wouldn’t have matched the one they had on file… Assume they’ve recently done a cross check with the department of immigration.
