CitySuper specials

This week CitySuper seems to be running some kind of US specials with big discounts of Bob’s Red Mill products, some regular soda’s and a lot of other stuff.
They also have some special US beers and soda’s and a bunch of other stuff up front by the tills, all of which seemed like limited products.

Do they have BRM buttermilk powder by any chance? Or their pumpernickel floer?

Don’t think so, but they have a lot more stuff than usual, a lot of it is “hiding” up front in the shop near the tills. The discounts are quite good as well, making it nearly reasonable, a packet of light rye was NT$140, but spelt was NT$220 if I remember right, so I guess it all depends on what you’re after.

Thanks!

I swear I saw a whole grain pancake and waffle mixture, in all fairness I wasn’t looking too closely on some of it, oh and black bean flour? There were plenty of other things, not sure about the prices.

Looks like there’s a full DM here citysuper.com.tw/flippingBoo … 5AABC2A2B7

Thanks, that’s useful! The BRM products in Taiwan include spelt, light rye, 10-grain, flaxseed, graham and buckwheat, semolina I think, and a couple more. The CitySuper selection is limited to the same group available at Jason’s and Wellman’s, basically. It must all rely on one importer.

I really wish they’d bring in the buttermilk powder, pumpernickel, and masa harina in particular, and also the organic whole wheat pastry, blue cornmeal, dark rye and so on.

The CitySuper specials are their “Hollywood Street Party”, of all things - the sale goes until Monday July 4th. Yes, I’ve got their membership card, and their mailer is in front of me now (and that makes me feel a little pathetic!).

A lot of the normally-too-pricy cheeses are somewhat more affordable: roughly 10-20% off. The Bob’s Red Mill stuff is all 20% off. California avocados, normal price 199/2, now 169/2. Microplane graters on special - those are available here now?! I had to get mine in Canada.

I’ve never seen buttermilk powder here. Actually, I’ve never used it anywhere.
