Clam juice

anyone out there know where clam juice can be purchased in taipei.

You must be from Canada! I haven’t had a Bloody Caesar in a looong time!

defn not a canadian.

what is a bloody caesar?

it wasn’t for that but for clam linguini and white wine sauce. its hard to get the flavour up without the clam juice.

anyone any idea where i can find the stuff?

Sorry, I thought you meant Mott’s Clamato.

And this is a Bloody Caesar

I am looking for “Clam Juice”. Before enyone suggests to “Keep Clam” I am inquiring about plain old clam juice. Has anyone seen it? I really miss clam diggers and clam juice is a neccesary (hate spelling that word) ingrediant. Directions, suggestions that can be legitimately posted?

whats a clam digger? Where is it from? I was also looking for clam juice awhile back with no luck…

1 1/2 quarts Clam juice (actually it calls for Clamato, which is a mix containing some clam juice)
1/2 cup vodka
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 dashes hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2-1 teaspoon all purpose Greek seasoning
fresh ground pepper
Garnish
celery ribs

It’s also the name for a kind of 3/4-length pants.

Costco has Mott’s Clamato now - perfect for Bloody Caesars… :lick:

Weird, more like. CLAM juice? You mean liquid that comes out of clams? Then you DRINK it? For FUN? :loco: :loco: :loco:

I was thinking more along the lines of “c’mon baby, give me some of that there clam juice to slick up my old clam digger.”

Actually, I always thought it was a Canadian thing. I never knew anyone in the States who knew what a Bloody Caesar was.

The day I want my booze to taste of fish, I’ll switch to coffee.

What’s a Bloody Caesar ? Sounds gross! :stuck_out_tongue:

Awww. Drinking novices. So cute.
Give it a try. Sexual innuendos aside, they are really good. Much better than the old Bloody Mary stuff. Glad to see Costco has Clamato. I was at Yonghe and didn’t see it but I will check again. Thanks Maoman

Neihu Costco’s Clamato is, at the moment, in the back aisle on the 2nd floor. Just FYI.

Bloody Caesar

1.5 oz Vodka
Clamato juice (Served in a tall glass)
Celery salted rim
Ice
Worchesshire sauce (A few dabs to taste)
Tobasco Sauce (If you like it spicy)
I also like a bit of black pepper and a tiny squeeze of lime.
Garnish with a fresh stalk of celery

Mmmmmmm.

It’s sooooooo good.

I am so happy that Costco is selling Clamato now. How much is it?

I’m from the States and I know what it is!

I used to be a bartender. You have to know these things when you’re a bartender. In fact, I used to make them for a Canadian friend of mine.

I was a bartender for a while as well…

And I made a MEAN Caesar.

So, in effect, it’s bloody clam juice you’re after.
