Competition: Closest guess and win a free lunch!

:taz: :taz: :taz:

Oh wait, we can change our guesses until the last minute right Truant?

I change my NT$11,111 to NT$11,201. The other two stay the same.

STG - :moon:

Now slow down there taz,

ImaniOU has 11,044, you have (had) 11,111, and I have 11,200. Now obviously the three of us know it’s going to be in the 11,000 range, so how about we say the same number then split the lunch three ways?

OK. It is a deal. I’m in are you ImaniOU?

Now where are we going to eat?

Damn…I think I need to rethink my estimate.

I’ll see your $14,500 and raise you a negative $3,456…whatever that equals…wait a minute, I need my ms calculator…

Okay, according to my calculations, my second guess is $11,044.

Truant, are you going to record these estimates to be sure none of them change when you announce the winner… I could lock it for you if you wish until you’re ready to post the actual amount… :smiling_imp:[/quote]
OK, here is some more help. ImaniOU, you are right. The majority of the 50s get picked out as Taxi money or whatever, so I’d tend to believe that the few 50s on the top are NOT indicative of the entire glass thing.
But, to add some further pondering to it, when I pick out toll money, I grab 4 x 10. And usually that is doubled for 2 tolls (there and back).
My thoughts are that there are a LOT more 10s than 50s.

Feel free to revise your guess accordingly.

No need to lock it, as I will count it, then quote the guesses in my annoucement. :sunglasses:

Is anyone interested in joining the lunch, whether they are a winner or not? If so, I will post the time/date.

I have no idea but it should cover the cost of your lunch…

As you know Sir, that is all relative.

So what number are we sharing then?

And who’s gonna divide the portions into thirds or halves?

I’m too lazy to go through and see who’s posted what figures. Can’t we just say I guessed right and you call me the winner, Tru?

No? OK, then I’ll give you three numbers and if someone else has already guessed them, then just fuggit about it.

I demand a recount (and then I’ll get the Supreme Court to declare me the winner anyway)… :smiling_imp:

If I had subtracted 3,333 from MJB’s 14,500, I’d’a been the big wiener with an estimation of $11,267…which I almost did, but I decided to go with consecutive numbers instead and see what that got me? Third place. Oh, the irony.

No they wouldn’t cause Thomas ain’t helpin out. :raspberry:

Wow I can’t believe I missed this whole thread. I have a 5L water container that is about a third full and has a similar amount in it. I thought your container looked smaller though so I would have come nowhere near winning.

When is the lunch? Can I come?

That was fun! Anyone else got spare change to be counted?

Wait a minute… $12,000 in loose change?! Holy crap! I wanna be your friend!
