Is there some software/program/app that can turn a text in complex characters to simplified? I want to make an inquiry about a products in Mainland China, heck if I can type/read Simplified!
I just use Google Translate, but think you can just do it on Word.
Are there any particular pitfalls to watch out for during a simplified to traditional operation? A native speaker I’m working with tells me you can do it in Word at the touch of a button, but I’m skeptical. I’m not sure that it would be that easy.
I’m sure it would need very close proofreading and tweaking after, right?

Reckon you are fine to be honest.

It needs checking, or you can end up with ‘fuck face’ instead of ‘dry noodles’. Trad to simplified would be more straightfoward, I would expect.

Gan Mian. lol. We were talking about gan1 vs gan4 today, strangely… I guess I’ll just pay to have it checked, shouldn’t be too much. It’s for commercial release so I can’t screw up. Cheers.
Yeah, it won’t be a total shitshow, but it may not be perfect if you convert it in Word. I guess there might be some bits of localisation too. Better to get a check.
Sorry for the mix up. Complex I can do, Simplified kuabo/shami dong dong?! Worse than my pinyin. So I guess that if I write a very nice , polite letter to a seller asking something in Complex… they will dump my letter in the Trash bin.
I write everything in Traditional first if I know it will go put in Simplified as well. There is a 1-to-1 correspondence in that direction and conversion results are good. But if it matters I would get an actual qualified translator to do the letter in the first place.
