I don’t understand the need for condoms in monogomous relationships.
They are a lot more troublesome and expensive than:
the patch
the ring
injectables
implants
sponges
iuds
diaphragms
caps
etc etc
The only good thing about condoms is HIV prevention when you’re engaging with multiple-partners, and they’re a bit tidier. If they’re disposed of properly, that is.
I’d rather suffer the mild discomfort of some slight temporary constriction than have my wife run the risk of some of the nasties that have been associated with the pill.
Or just do it my way – bareback with fingers crossed .
Seriously, though, some of the local brands are a tad snug – I say if the whole trouser snake turns purple instead of just the business end, then the flunkey is too small. IUDs? Them’s some scary shit! I had a friend got into all kinds of trouble with one of those. And diaphrams are far more troublesome to put on – I can never get the little suckers to stay on properly. Talk about a balancing act! Those other things I never even heard of. All I know is, I wouldn’t ask my wife to ingest chemicals if I wouldn’t do it myself – and I wouldn’t. Not those kinds, at any rate.
My missus had a nasty experience with an IUD. Don’t think I will suggest it to her.

It’s a bit unconfortable, yes. But some condoms are less comfortable than others.
There are other considerations too, such as the costs of kids etc.
But still a good idea. How do you avoid pregnancy?
