Connect using a cable via AUX input port. The other way is to use a FM transmitter and tune you stereo into this. Where can you buy these things in Taiwan?
Thing is in my car, there is an AUX input port for a RJ 45 cable (phone) so you can go handsfree and an AUX function on teh car stereo. I wonder is it possible to use this port for connecting my IPOD, and purchase a RJ45 to audio jack cable

Very good option.
Plenty of places, but they’re crap and you’re mad to do that if you have aux inputs.
Sounds like a simple way to do it, which should give you a great sound too. I’m a little confused by your explanation though. You have two separate options here? One in the “car” for a phone and one on the car stereo?

One in the car, between the two front seats in the arm rest. It’s a RJ 45 that feeds into the stereo AUX input. Therefore would need to connect between audio out (headphones connector) on IPOD and into RJ 45 female connector. Is there such a thing as a audio jack to RJ45 cable?
Not sure would this input (which is supposed to be used for mobile phone) serve as a conduit for my IPOD audio out

One single RJ-45 would only give you mono. You might have to go with the stereo input on the car stereo.
But certainly, these 3.5 mm audio jack to RJ-45 cables are easy to find (stereo ones with 2 x RJ-45 plugs at least).
fwiw, i saw a cassette-ipod adapter in the ipod store. does anyone even have a tape deck in their car anymore? i was more wondering how the thing would work.
i used to do that before i got a headunit with aux jack
the sound is ok but you get a hissing sound because of the way the info is translated onto the tape deck its probably the easiest and cheapest way to go… i wouldn’t do FM transmitter here because they are not that great to begin with and seems there might be alot of intereference in taiwan
