Cons

I’m sure we’ve all heard about different cons (the guy selling the Eiffel Tower - twice was it? - for example), and I’m sure some of us have been the victim of one (where’s the whistling-while-looking-off-into-the-distance emoticon?), but found these at MSN. Number three is the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen…

[quote]If today’s Internet-based purveyors of sexual prowess have a patron saint, it’s likely to be John Brinkley. A physician who obtained his degree through an unorthodox manner

Recently a con artist was sentenced to prison for passing himself off as “the son of actress Sophia Loren, nephew of Italian movie producer Dino De Laurentiis and a scion of the ultra-rich Rockefeller family. He hung out with actors Mickey Rourke and Jean-Claude Van Damme. In 1997, he was living in a $75,000-a-month suite at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.”
