:help: Hi I am considering getting a Masters in ESL/EFL or Applied Linguistics. Any suggestions? I have considered a few in the US, including at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. How about Austrailian universities? Any advice welcomed!

Remember that - should you be thinking of getting into university teaching in Taiwan - a distance degree is not recognised by the authorities.

How strict are universities about checking the way you got your degree? A friend of mine received his MBA from a school in England through distance learning. His diploma doesn’t signify that though, and the university in Kaohsiung he’s been working at for the past two years never asked if he got it traditionally or otherwise.
