Hello,
I am currently a primary school teacher in Australia. I have been considering a working holiday VISA for Taiwan for next year.
I have already informally cleared my unpaid leave with my boss, and sorting out my other commitments in Australia.
Now my attention is turning to Taiwan, and the reality of my experience there.
I do not necessarily want to teach English there, but I have heard that is just about the only job foreigners can do.
I do have a teacher registration and 4 year bachelor degree (in Education), but I have no other TEFL or TESOL courses etc.
If I did want to have a working holiday, and not necessarily work full time, what are my options?
I have heard mixed reviews about Buxibans. Ideally I would want a the kind of jobs without lengthy contracts. Do these exist?
Perhaps a 6 month a could handle, but I would prefer just a few months at a time.
