hi, I have a music video in a .asx file (is this a native Windows format?)
I would like to take the tune and convert it into a midi file.
What I really want is to use this audio in a PowerPoint screenshow.
Can anyone give me advice or point me in the right direction?
Cheers,
gus.
I can’t see how a digital sample can converted in a midi file, which is just a list of which notes to play…
Here’s a few programs that can convert a WAV to MIDI:
recognisoft.com/
akoff.com/
knzaudio.com/index.php?midifier
pluto.dti.ne.jp/~araki/amazingmidi
tallstick.com/
intelliscore.net
widisoft.com
digital-ear.com/digital-ear/index.html
5star-shareware.com/Music/MI … 2midi.html
m3c-berlin.de/html/body_48001.html
You first need to get the ASX into WAV format. There’s probably quite a few programs to do this, here’s one:
totalrecorder.com/
The end result may not be that great, but for a presentation or website music, it might be OK.
