I was wondering if there are any cooking club or group in Taiepi,
If not I would be interested in starting one. Gathering and cooking, exchanging cooking tips and recipe. I just finished building a Kitchen in my apartment, and I can host a small group once a week and maybe we could change venue every weeks.
Hi
I am interested in starting or joining a cooking club. I think it would be fun, to get together with other amateur cooks and cook meals. I like foods from all over and have a small but workable kitchen (has an oven!). So if anyone is interested in meeting once a week to try out new recipes and learn cooking tips from each other send me a pm.
Bobl - I’m in Hualian and interested… where are you?
** whoops, I figured it out… Taidong, right?**
Yes, you guessed right. My sig was a giveaway right?
Sounds good, maybe we can get a few more and hook up.
My wife and I like to cook outdoors a lot on Sundays, maybe we could pick a spot half way between.
How about that sausage guy in Hualien, is he still around?

Yes, the Wurst is not only still around but keeping quite busy! I’ll be seeing him tomorrow on our weekly “Dog Day Afternoon” and will mention this thread to him. There may also be a few others interested as well… I’ll spread the word.

Great.
It is about a two hour train ride for me but I am up for the trip if the day is right. (No conflict with work)
I haven’t cooked too much since being here ( 7 years) due to lack of available items, so I am really looking forward to this.
Cheers
Bob
Edit: I should say I haven’t cooked too much western food since being here. I have adapted to stir frys and such that can be done with local ingredients.
Although the RT mart is getting a little better with their western stuff.
