Me thinks: artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/
Somebody was getting a chubby over this in another thread as well. I think Miltownkid was at it.
This one’s a different kind of cool. Not the same of the ninja board.
The ninja board is cool in a “look how l33t I am” way. This one’s cool in a “holy shit that’s fancy” way.
I like it! Simple and uncluttered design, and yet still stylish and full of features.
Can the Optimus be bought in TW?
teggs
I don’t think they even have a working prototype yet. It’s supposed to go into production some time next year… and it will cost at least $300
.
After a long wait it’s expected to go on sale in December 2007: Optimus Maximus keyboard
Unfortunately the price is a bit more than expected: 1564.37 US$ (1256.86 €)
Cool, you could actually program it so it had an “Any” key.
What’s a ninja board?
I really want Das Keyboard. Anyone seen them here?
Das keyboard is a little lame~ I mean - really, I’ve pretty much memorised the position of most of the keys on a normal keyboard anyway~ and what about those keys you don’t regularly use, like printscreen or insert???
The optimus is awesome though… but not new technology anymore~
I agree Mil~ what’s this ninja keyboard??
Well sure. And thanks to programming and emacs I know all the minor keys by heart too. I want the Das for the key action, clicks, durability, sunken home keys and sheer good looks of the thing.
Look at it this way - if we don’t look at our hands when we type anymore, what’s the point of the Optimus?
gaming… pure gaming… it was being toted as a gaming keyboard for a while…
keys can be programmed to display icons for in-game commands… some games have so many commands, it’s hard to keep track of them… you can even program it to the point where your ‘reload’ key actually shows an ammo count as well…
…wolfclaw gaming keyboard anybody
?
