Copy error in "driving book" (Was: Get your helmet)

Well… In the news now the driving book says: Drivers and passengers in cars need to use a helmet. Time to get a new one that matches the TDi’s interior

It was a copy/past mistake.

So I guess it’s true. The wife just came home and said the same thing.I really hope nothing becomes of it,but if it does; What a bunch of hairless fricken monkeys those guys are.Is supossed to make drivers safer.TRY ENFORCING THE FG DRIVING LAWS! FG MORONS.

This has got to be a misprint of some kind.

Hobart, you would appear to be right. Gomerpyle, save your energy. The OP said:
It was a copy/past mistake.
I take this to mean a copy error.

Hey. I’m the OP. cool :sunglasses:

As far as I can tell it is only a mistake in the book (that they know about now) from them copying the scooter/motorcycle rules. Why they copied them I’ll never know.

Who knows if that will be the right answer on the test. But it is not the rule on the street.

Who changed the thread name without telling me?
So about errors. Where’s my spell checker?
Who changed the thread name without telling me?
Me. I changed it because I had visions of myself a year from now, still telling people “It’s just a copy error. Nothing to get excited about.”

Remember the 2 most important words: Don’t panic.
and I still wear my helmet on the little bus.

In university a mate of mine had a hopped up Mini (the old model) and once in a while 4 of us would pile into this thing, all wearing full face helmets and drive about our university town like lunatics… it handled quite well for a mini and it had some nice parts/mods on it and it was a hilarious sight this tiny car zipping about with 4 helmeted occupants and smoke pouring off it (some was form the car and some wasn’t )… people’s reactions ranged from laughing and staring to flat out terror/panic, they must have figured we were off to rob a bank or something, regardless watching for people’s reactions as we pulled up next to them at the lights was hilarious…

maybe the TW traffic dept is just trying to inject some humour into Taiwan’s dreary roads…
