From July 19, the epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks will be moderately relaxed

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (19th) that considering the slowdown of the domestic epidemic situation, in order to take into account the epidemic prevention, economic and social operations, maintain domestic epidemic prevention capacity and effectively control risks, after a comprehensive assessment of the epidemic situation, it will be moderated from July 19. Epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks are relaxed. Among them, “riding motorcycles/bicycles” and outdoor workers are not required to wear masks when working in open spaces. The relevant regulations are explained as follows:

  1. Relaxing the requirements for wearing masks, adding “bicycles/bicycles” as an exception In exceptional cases, masks are not required, but masks should still be worn throughout the whole process when going out:

(1) Masks are required to be worn when singing.

(2) Masks are not required in the following situations, but you should carry or prepare masks with you. If you have related symptoms or you cannot maintain social distance with unspecified objects, you should still wear masks:

  1. Indoor and outdoor sports.

  2. Take individual/group photos indoors and outdoors.

  3. When driving a car, riding a bicycle or riding a scooter and when all members within the car are family members who live together, or there are no other passengers in the car or on the scooter or bicycle.

  4. Formal filming or progress of conversational work or activities such as live broadcast, video recording, hosting, reporting, speeches, speeches, lectures, etc.

  5. Outdoor workers work in open spaces.

  6. Activities in mountains and forests (including forest recreation areas) and seaside.

  7. In hot/cold springs, ovens, spa facilities, saunas, steam rooms, water activities and other occasions where the mask is likely to get wet.

(3) If you have dietary needs when going out, you must not wear a mask.

(4) At the command center or the places or activities designated by the competent authority (for example: when performing personnel such as artistic performances/crew/TV anchors are officially filming performances, contestants and referees of sports competitions during the competition, etc.) Or the relevant epidemic prevention measures of the competent authority, the mask may be temporarily taken off.

  1. Business premises and public areas (including transportation): Strict compliance with body temperature measurement, strengthening of environmental cleaning, employee health management, and immediate response to confirmed incidents.

  2. Stores, supermarkets, and markets: According to the epidemic prevention measures in business premises/public areas, crowd control is not required; open for tasting.

  3. Transportation by high-speed rail, Taiwan rail, highway passenger transport, ships (except fixed dining areas), domestic flights, etc.: Food and beverages are open in the vehicles (carriages, ships, and aircraft).

  4. Catering venues: Body temperature should be strictly implemented, hand-washing equipment and disinfection supplies should be provided; banquets should not be toasted table by table. Those who violate the above measures will be punished according to the law and make improvements within a time limit. Those who have not completed the improvement will not be allowed to provide internal use services.

  5. Religious places and religious gatherings: handled in accordance with the epidemic prevention measures stipulated by the Ministry of the Interior.

The command center calls on everyone to be responsible for epidemic prevention, and asks the public to implement epidemic prevention measures independently, maintain good personal hygiene habits, wear masks, wash hands frequently, and maintain social distance; implement temperature measurement and other related measures when entering and leaving public areas, download and use " “Taiwan Social Distancing APP”, protect yourself and others, jointly maintain the safety of the domestic community, and call on people who have not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to complete the COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible to protect the health of themselves and their relatives and friends.
