Fuel gauge sensors in the tank (at least in cars) use a copper wire to send an electrical signal to your car. That copper gets corroded. Your engine is not made of copper.

Ok, got it. But how about other sensors? If I’m not wrong, there are sensors to control the gas/O2 mix too, apart from temperature sensors and other shit.
Yes but they are not dipped in the fuel. The fuel gauge sensor is the only one which touches the substandard stuff all the time. The sensors you talk about are on the engine, in the catalytic converter (when the fuel is already burned), etc.

So to follow up on that: how long is “a long time” ?
Also, if this was only discovered because of random inspections, is it possible I’ve been using this same crap in the past and they’ve only just been caught?
Which are in contact with the fuel sometimes.
Anyway, drive and refill as often as you can for flushing the shit.
They won’t tell you, because it depends on the car and otherwise everybody will freak out.

The real question is: can I go to Cpc with sunday gasoline receipt and get reimbursed?
I was thinking that they probably have a list of gas stations and they will check the station id on your bill before giving you anything.
That’s also what I heard.
