Craig may become longest running BOND

dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar … -deal.html

He may end up with more Bond films under his belt then the others, even Connery .

What thunk you ?

He is the closest to Fleming’s Bond and gives the character and edge that is missing from the other incarnations. Now the scripts have to live up to the books.

I agree wholeheartedly. He is the best Bond and the new feel is a near re-imagining of the entire franchise. Brosnan breathed a little life into it after Dalton and Moore nearly sucked it all out, and now I am ready for all the old films to be remade. Who will be the new Pussy Galore or Holly Goodhead? Blofeld? I hope it’s me. I had a buddy and former co-star appear in the last Brosnan one and if Trev can do, so can I.

Five more Bond films? Hair transplant is definitely in order.

Ian fleming died and there are no more new scripts. They will have to remake the old scripts .

the latest Casino Royale was hum hum not that good really.

Brosnans first was his best , he second fell down a bit and the third was worse.

Roger moore was never bond in my mind. HE was always THE SAINT filling in for Bond while Bond was on holidays.

I did like THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and thought that has got to be his best.

Sean was the only true bond so far.

Havent gotten the feel for craig yet.

hes like he could be 009 or 008 but 007? donno.

Lazenby … lazen who? Really.

Nobody likes Roger Moore as Bond, but he was Bond in the film that has one of my fave movie openings ever

Roger Moore was geezer Bond. Piers Brosnan was Posh Bond. Connery all the way.

Oh come on your Roger haters. He brought Bond Kitsch to the screen. Live and Let Die is still one of the most watched films on British Television. What about the line when Mrs Bond screams after seeing the voodoo hat? “It belongs to a small headed man, of limited means, who recently lost a fight with a chicken.” Plus those films had him and J.W.Pepper working together. Class. Sure the films weren’t the best, but Roger was brilliant. Better than Sean and his guttural ‘Kon Ban Wah,’ and writsy judo chops. Plus I’d like to see Daniel Crag try to bed a woman like Grace Jones when he is in his late 50’s!!!

Viva La Moore!!!

Connery, Niven & ?

Lazenby? Barry Nelson?

There was a guy who played him on the radio first. George something. He was inspector Wexford on telly. George Baker?

It was Bob Holness

Yes! The funkle one is correct. You blockbuster. You dancer. It was that ruddy immigrant, Holness. I’ll have a B please Bob.

Happy Birthday lad.

No one mentioned Dalton? I thought he was pretty good.

Love Daniel Craig as bond. His physicality, the brutal, fast violence he is able to deliver makes him perfect for the role. He’s the best successor to Connery, who was also fast and strong.

I agree. I hated Connery. The films themselves were great except for him, well, except For Your Eyes Only, which was crap. He was way over the hill in that one. What was with the whole pederast sub-plot in that one? I’ve always thought he was a terrible actor who has limped through pretty much everything I’ve ever seen him in, Bond or non-Bond, all with that daft bloody accent. In that respect, Craig is not the new Connery. Craig is excellent in the role.

Moore was taking the piss in every movie he was in and is definitely my favourite Bond prior to Craig. Although Moore was deliberately taking the piss, the movies were all still great. They were completely over the top in a good way, and he was perfect for them. Another great line from The Man with the Golden Gun is when Bond has a fight with a couple of guys and accidentally swallows a woman’s belly button jewel (which is in fact one of Scaramanga’s bullets). As he’s kind of fixing his tie after the fight, she looks down and shieks, “I’ve lost my charm!” He casually replies, “Not from where I’m standing.” Classic.

Dalton was shocking and Brosnan was incredibly wooden, plus the movies in both cases were kind of crappy. Actually, not kind of crappy. They were crappy. I’m scratching my head to remember anything about them and I’ve seen them each a few times. I know one of Brosnan’s had a fat English comedian implausibly playing a Russian criminal/informant. I think that also had Sean Bean in it. Terrible waste. Then there was one with a Rupert Murdoch type character as the main villain. Did that have Michelle Yeoh? Was that the one with that weedy Scottish guy as the implausibly bad-arse henchman? It was shit anyway. The most unintentionally hilarious character in all of Brosnan’s Bond outings has to have been Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist or whatever she was. Brosnan was equally as wooden in every single other movie I’ve ever seen him in, so I guess his efforts as Bond weren’t unusual for him. All I can remember about Dalton’s movies was there was that hot blonde chick who played the cello. I vaguely remember the other one having some Latinos and a semi-trailer truck getting shot with a rocket launcher or something. I liked Dalton in Hot Fuzz. That was a nice role, but otherwise, I can’t remember having seen him anything other than Flash Gordon.

Lazenby was good enough, though not stand out.

I liked Craig in Layer Cake. Now that is an under-rated film.

Moore made 7 films and Connery 6, I think. The numbers suggest…

I think they were both great.

Lazenby was ok. Dalton just reminded me of this stuck up ponce I was in school with. Brosnan was as described above.
I reckon Connery, Moore and Craig represent the era that each appears in. I agree with the above that Moore bought 80’s kitch to the screen, and and he did make the most movies. :discodance:

Blond. James Blond.

It’s just wrong.

well hes james bondo in japan. Bondo?

Yeah i liked that blondie that played the cello, she had that endearing charm bout her.

Dalton was a rough Bond, not suavay and deboner at all .

I think within England most geezers know that Layer Cake is a decent film.

Goldeneye: There was the awesome bungee jump at the start and the tank chase.

Craig is a bit: pointy, shouty, runny for my liking.

My fav Bond film is Diamonds are forever, closely followed by Live and let die. Quantum of gromit and wallace wasn’t bad but it lacked the right amount of cheesy kitsch for my liking.
