Almost next to the Asia1 video rental place, right? Is that where you bought your kids their Crocs for $980? All the ones I saw in there - adults’ and kids’ - were $1,280.
I bought a pair on a whim while at Costco in order to replace the flipflops I keep by the door. I hadn’t really heard of them until I walked by this giant department store display a few days later. They are not bad at all, they seem a little sturdier than flip flops. A little on the pricey side, though.
How much are they going for at Costco, Flicka?
Fake crocs (Made in Taiwan!) are all over GongGuan at $390. I picked up a pair about two weeks ago and they’re still nice and squishy.
You guys have zero idea what you are talking about. I bought 3 pairs in Thailand last CNY. Not Crocs, mind you. Mocs.
I haven’t had anything on my feet since. I have an outside pair, an inside pair and a bathroom pair. Paid 150 Baht per pair. My 7000 NT Campers are collecting dust. Nike Schmike.
Yellow, Black and Camo Green. I absolutely love them. And I can ride Piglet with them on. Hard to upshift with Teveas, Mocs to Save your big Toe.
Mocs are simple to drain too. Each red light, I raise a leg and pour out all the rain. Gets a good chuckle from the locals sitting at the light. My feet are dry by the time my class starts.
The price they are charging is the only fugly thing I see in this thread. Buy the Mocs. Like I said, 5 months now and crisp as the day I bought them.
They do tend to be extra greasy on the slipwalks hereabouts, so watch out for that.
I bought a pair of Mocs in Thailand, too. 200Bath. (I’m sure Toe got a better deal since he bought 3 pairs. :raspberry: )
I agree, they do the trick just fine. I use them to ride my scooter on rainy days, and daily when cleaning and moping poo and pee from the dogs in our foster center.
After two months of wear and tear, they still look brand new. I assume that the originals are even better, but I’m guessing the fakes are a much better value.
No doubt they are FUGLY, but function over fashion.
[quote=“Mother Theresa”]I agree their looks take some getting used to, but it’s noteworthy that:
b Not a single person who has criticized them actually owns a pair and
(b) Every comment by an owner of them is favorable.[/b]

I have a pair. They are incredibly comfortable, very durable and easy to slip on and off. I primarily use them when on my (luxury) yacht.
I probably wouldn’t have bought a pair unless they had come very highly recommended by fellow yachties as they are somewhat unseemly at first sight.

Meet Piglet and Toe:

Can u guess whom is whom?
As well, being the intrepid stickler that you are, wouldn’t I be better suited posting my “tendancies” in the Dating forum?
I love my crocs. Ugly as they are, they are awesome for rainy weather. Super comfortable.

The kids new style are 1280 old style 980. The old style ones are the plain ones solid colors.
I forked out the princely sum of NT$299 on a pair of “Made in China” copies last Friday. Wore them half a dozen times at most. Today one of the straps broke.
Doh! That’ll learn me.
I was in a store in the USA and they sell flip flop style crocs. They look fine and they are made of the same material. I was tempted to pick some up since they didn’t look horrendous IMO. My friend tried on a regualr closed shoe style, red pair, and he looked like Ronald McDonald.
ugh, orthopedic geektard neon-from space looserwad yuch ! and that’s an insult to people with Down syndrome, but I’m toning :saywhat: it down a little
Got me a pair, and as stated before, super ugly stupid looking footware, worthless until you try em.
Now I love em. More comfortable for daily walking than another shoe I’ve owned.
Do they sell them in big boy size (US13)? Or just little people size?
Just about every second person I ran into during my recent trip home was wearing a pair of crocs. That is enough to give me pause but since my daughter absolutely loves hers I bought myself a pair. They are surprisingly comfortable and just about perfect for the variable weather here. At $35CAN they are pretty cheap too.
