TEXT: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will consider a proposal to introduce legislation mandating eventual reunification with rival Taiwan, the semi-official China News Service said in a report available on Tuesday.
Why does the report call Taiwan a RIVAL of China. They are not rivals. They are independent sovereign nations across a body of water facing each other, but they are not rivals. In fact, they are economic partners in many ways…why does Reuters say they are RIVALS? Silly.
Are the US and the UK rivals? No.
Are Farce and Germany rivals? No.
Are Japan and South Korea rivals? No.
China and Taiwan are not rivals, either.
