One could also say the the Taiwan independence movement is only still here is because of the PLA. Would there be such a perceived need for TI with a free, democratic and properous China next door? I wonder if it has occurred to Beijing that their aggression towards us could be a great motivator for the TI movement.

But that is the natural order of things on Taiwan. Those of lesser ability and background will need to assistance of those with better backgrounds to get anything done on Taiwan.

CSB knows his real position in Taiwan society, which is why he still needs to speak his broken Mandarin in public.
