Can anyone give me an idea on the rate for writing per word in Taiwan or Singapore? I have a proposal to write 250 online stories with a lesson plan. I wonder what I should charge.
Related question, maybe. I’ve been asked to write the first two semesters of curriculum for some free language classes offered by a local church. They’re looking to spend less than purchasing an accredited curriculum, of course, but want everything --curriculum map, lesson plans, and all materials, and laid out so that anyone can follow them. What should I ask for this?
I wouldn’t go much lower than 3-4 NT per word. It’s a big project, so the per word rate will be lower than for shorter pieces. Some book deals pay 2-3NT per word, but publishing a book usually has profitable spin-offs. IMHO
