Curriculum Websites (for downloading lessons plans, etc.)

I’m looking for more sites like this:

readinga-z.com/

This one actually looks good enough, and I know one person who is happy using their material, but I’d like to know of others before I invest my money into one.

If anyone has a site they like or feedback on this one, I’m all eyes.

If you are looking for ESL lesson plans, go to this page:

http://www.geocities.com/allhou/lessgames.htm

There’s a section for sites that provide lessons, as well as a section for worksheets and handouts.

In the pictures the tutor stands off to the side smiling as the student illustrates, through facial expression, and, we can only guess, body language and tone of voice, his boundless enthusiasm for whatever it is that is being offered him in terms of learning material. I’m just wondering if I get paid extra for all that smiling, and what if your student looks at the material like it is the end product of some sort of diseased digestive process? Do I get paid extra for that too?

www.enchantedlearning.com is not too bad for supplementary materials.

Also try www.school.discovery.com . They have lesson plans, puzzle makers, etc.

google.com

No, I’m not being a smartass here. I google whatever subject I am teaching (for instance Fairy Tale Comparison)+lesson plan and I have a wide range of sites to pick from. Not all good lesson plans are on websites specifically for lesson plans. Sometimes they are hiding on teacher’s personal or classroom websites.

Also abcteach.com has decent stuff on their free site. Can’t imagine how much waits to be untapped in their pay section.

www.starfall.com

I want sites people have experience with. I’m just going to sign up for one site that “does it all”. I don’t want to “google” anything. I want one site I go to, get some stuff, and teach it.

I’m looking for more suggestions like this.

What I’m looking for is books to read, worksheets and things like that for my kindergarten class. I want to give the kids that more faster extra things to work on. I don’t want to scour the Intraweb looking for them either. I just want to pay, login and be done with it (I think I’ll get my school to foot the bill too ).

starfall.com doesn’t offer lesson plans, though, do they? If you’re looking for plans for kindergarteners (i.e. songs, games, and art projects) then you might want to check out preschooolrainbow.org and perpetualpreschool.com for some ideas based on popular themes.

Are you looking for ideas for teaching specific language (and therefore EFL/ESL) skills or are you looking for ideas for a whole child classroom?

for 30$ US you can become a member of zoomschool.com. They have 15000 pages of printables. goooooooooood

EFL/ESL skills are the main thing I’m interested in.
