tl;dr = Not as bad as predicted. Surprisingly mild, actually; was downgraded to a Cat 2 by the end of it.

Would’ve been hard to be as bad as predicted without actually annihilating the Australian continent, though.

I think the Daily Mail should take the prize, though. Back in January, it transformed northern Queensland into a new state: Capricornia.

Chapter VI of the Constitution of Australia allows for the establishment or admission of new states to the Federation.

Surfing the 'net, I only read about one death: I believe it was from asphyxiation from the exhaust fumes of a diesel generator kept in an enclosed space.
