So, I’ve had far too many afternoons saying “where do you want to go?” to only find us both not really having a good idea.
What good ideas or suggestions are there for a cool date in the afternoon or evening in Taipei or surrounding areas? I live in the south and my girlfriend lives in Taipei, so I don’t really know what to do up there. I’m not looking for a “dinner and a movie” sort of thing, but rather, unique or fun activities/outings that let us spend time together.
I am really bad at planning stuff like this, so I’m hoping some good ideas can be shared on here.
I would love to surprise her with a fully planned out day.
Take her for a hot spring in Wulai. Get a hotel room with a nice adjoining hot spring. You can also take her up the gondola and enjoy some aboriginal food in the village.
Food is always a welcome distraction. Have a coupla nice places to go for food lined up, doesnt have to be fancy. Just different from the last time.
Hsimenting is nice to hang out even if you do not do a movie.
Wulai is nice . Maokong with the gondola is a thing to do they say. A day trip to Tamsui and also another to Shihmen Dam is nice. Take the train to ChongLi and a bus leaves from there to Shihmen dam pretty regularly. Take the boat ride on the reservoir. IF they still have them, tis an hour and well worth it.
If you have a car , explore the many cheap and nice rustic hotspring places from YMS to Chinshan.
Go down to chiaoshi and take in a hotspring at the many hotels there, head further south to NanfangAo to taiwans largest fishing port and sample the seafood.
Visit the museums in TAipei, especially the National Palace one (although its not the same now with the chinese tourists…used to be able to sneak kisses in those dark rooms there).
Take in an MTV . One nice one on top of Luxy.
U can do things OTHER then watch the movie there if you choose.
I’d tend to leave this till the relationship is well established but each to his own.
