Decent margarine?

For over a year now, I’ve been buying a decent type of margarine from the local stores that was imported from Canada. Don’t remember the name of it, but it came in little tan plastic tubs and had a red maple leaf on it. Well, that brand has disappeared overnight from all stores that I frequent. I’ve searched, but have found it nowhere.

I bought some other type in Wellcome in Tienmu. Some type of spread with olive oil in it. It wasn’t very good (not salted). Despite that, someone absconded with it and I no longer own it.

So, I’m margarine-less and out of good ideas. Anyone know where some decent margarine can be had? I’m assuming that Costco has something, but anywhere else that is more easily accessible?

Butter!

Yeah, if it came with an axe or blow torch, might be a reasonable alternative.

Jason’s selection isn’t too bad, if a little pricey.

Butter always has a slightly rancid smell to me when used in cooking.

I miss the olive oil margarine I used to get in Australia.

An all-too-common phenomenon in Taiwan.

Not my butter … probably butter that’s been in the store for over six months

BTW, margarine isn’t as healthy as made believe, the softer it is the better … harder types have more hydroginated oils in it or tropical fats that are not exactly good for you … some have even colorants and flavours added, and preservatives not to forget …

I trust the cow more than the chemist

margarine is not decent.
